			Defender wheels

					Hi,
Can you fit 15's on a Defender 2003 model?
I have a set of 35 inch wranglers that havent done 10000kms and im lookind at buying a defender since my rangie is not going to be driven ever again and would like to keep the wheels and tyres.
Also is there any problems with a 2 inch lift in a 90?
 Thanks
 Beau

					Yes indeed you can.

with regards to the lift, with it being a TD5 it should be ok. (if it does have any issues, although unikely, you would need to change the front prop shaft for a wide yoke one)

As for the 2 inch lift, you need to ask your self what will it do for the handling of the vehicle on and off-road, and to its mechanical relability. You also need to ask if the money could be more wisely spent on some other improvement to the vehicle. Another consideration is that the 35 inch tyres probably make the vehicle technically 'unroadworthy' (I suspect they exceed the max allowable diameter and offset, and you don’t have an engineer’s certificate), and you may not want to draw further attention to your self by lifting the vehicle even higher. Legally, an unroadworthy vehicle should not be driven on the road or on any public land (eg on a beach or in a state forest) except in very specific circumstances. Lots of people do it, but be aware of the risk, both to your self as well as to others.

 Cheers
