Front mud flaps are dead easy to install, don't use the rivets or rivnuts they come with just bolt on the brackets with some stainless M8 bolts and then attach the rubber with big flat washers. Takes about half an hour to do.

The side steps won't be hard I would have thought. Fitting diagrams are available here: TOPIx - TOPIx
I think the mudflaps come in one section, with the rubber riveted into the mounting plate, so you cant bolt them on......

Thanks for all the comments. Was some months ago now but I eventually paid $435 for a towbar.

    See here http://www.aulro.com/afvb/90-110-130...ml#post1385606

I bought Britpart front mudflaps which cost about $75 for the pair from memory. These were the same as the OEM item and came in two parts. Metal bracket (with rivnuts, had no problem installing these) and the flap itself.

After taking delivery I decided I did not need side steps. I find access just fine without them. Can be a bit of a heave after climbing in 30 times a day but it keeps you fit.

Forgot to say that my towbar was fitted by Melbourne City LR.

    P38ace,

Glad you came right with that towbar. I caught the thread a bit late, but that first price was silly. The $435 price is much closer to the actual price. I paid $325 for the LRA towbar from Barbagallo's (local main dealer) and Opposite Lock fitted it for me for a $100. Not sure which party supplied the electrics, but it was all there when I picked the car up.

The Dealer wanted $450 to fit it though!

    Cheers!

Now I know this thread is old... I rang Barbagallo and rrp is $582 for raa608, but discounted to $498. (Hayman Reece is $531.69RRP).

So am I correct in thinking that the UK version of RAA608 is not the same as the Australian version and would not be compliant?

Anyone know of any alternatives to the HR in Australia worth considering?

    Thanks

    Puma CrewCab 110 2010.

(As an alternative - where is best place to find wrecked 110 Puma parts supplier).

I believe it is different (strange to have the same number though...)

As far as I know it's only Australia that uses the 50mm Hayman Reese arrangement.

UK Spec, NAS Spec and African Spec (South of the Sahara) all use the same concept with the support arms holding a U-Shaped sliding plate (height adjustable) or the flat multi hole plate to mount towing accessories in the same way a NATO hitch is mounted (Closely resembles the threaded holes in a Defender's rear cross member).

I would not go away from the OEM LRA spec one. Sits high enough for clearance and receives a host of fittings (bike racks, 50mm ball, recovery eyes etc).

    Cheers,

    Lou
