Certainly am! A rough but rust free 1985 110 is available at the moment, ALL my running gear from the Rangie will bolt straight it, (Sort of) and thus I have the vehicle I have always wanted. Extra room, better touring package all up really. The Word 'rough' doesen't really mean that bad; faded paint, Reasonable interior, rustfree chassis and body/ bulkhead, all the running gear is spoken for so I will only be getting a shell, thats where all my bits come in. I am decommisioning the Rangie after much thought, mostly due to the lack of interior room and the fatigue that is showing up with 389,000km of touring, offroading and daily driving. Cracks in the turret and A pillars, floor pan and bulkhead has been extensively repaired before, and the doors are starting to drop etc etc.
The end result will be a resprayed/ restored White shell, all new window rubbers and channels, conversion to Defender dash and heater etc, my Military spec LT95, Detroit locker Sals, Defender front diff, 4BD1 with intercooler turbo, DeCarbon shocks, 130 Rear twin springs and 130 Fronts, Winch bar and 12,000lb winch, my Traxide battery and headlamp kits, Wolf wheels etc etc. A new A/C system and my Stratos seat, and a Recaro or similar for SWMBO also.

I'll even be putting new County stripes back on to keep it loooking reasonably standard.

Can't wait to begin!, But part of the deal is to finish the LSE Tdi FIRST...

    Pics will be forthcoming.
