Well thats lovely scallops but that was NOT the case with mine. my drive flanges have not been touched and my problem has been fixed. as I said mine was not a clunk not a click.Quote:

OK dullbird - Sorry to annoy you so. It's unfortunate that my posts have, both now and in the past, had that effect - since they were only contributed in an attempt to help. This was news to me. Hi all, My experiece is it could be in the park brake assembly. When the shaft turns sometimes the drum and pads contact and move . Had it fixed on a 1985 and 2008 defender. all good now.

had a lot of dramas with my park brake too...that was a culprit for a few things on my car also.
