How funny (in a good way) is that!! its crazy, cant believe you tracked down "the old girl"

Makes me ponder if I could find my old 1978 Series III 88" (my first car/Land Rover).

I was wondering whether any of my old ones were still around...... But the most recent (1961 2a), I sold in 1969 or70! And I would probably have to do a bit of scratching to find the details (numbers etc) of any of them. The Series 1 perhaps would be identifiable by an oil pressure and temperature gauge that were edge reading and scretwed to the RH side of the instrument box. (1956 88 hardtop)

I found my first ever vehicle, which happened to be a landy, recently, after hunting without luck, it came up on trade-me in NZ....didn't get to see her in person, but photos and video, was nice to see her still going strong. 1985 on left, 2016 on right.....

Over the years there have so many story's about Land Rover's . This one has been amazing . A young man set himself on a mission to find a vehicle ? A Red 110 County that he and his family traveled around Australia in for over a year . In spit of the many dead ends , he keep going ! Most people would have gave up long ago . John keep going , I'm pleased that he found the vehicle . I've owned it for over 17 years . That's a long time , It was lovely to meet up and show him around the old girl . We exchanged story's . I am going to sell it to John , I can't think of anyone now that I could imagine deserves it more . Some time's things are meant to be . Jim
