The website says it doesn't. Terrafirma are usually very good about their product claims, so I imagine that it doesn't

Not really - it tends to cave in when you're walking around on it to open tents, put stuff on the roofrack, etc.

However I don't make a habit of standing in the middle of a bonnet to get to the roof that's next to the windscreen.

I haven't stood on the bump but I have stood on the rest of it, although I wouldn't jump up and down not had any dramas with it holding my weight.

The guards..well that's another story and I have chequer plate on them they flex like no bodies business

I have the wing tops only, and my technique is to go from there to stand on one of the hinges while I'm working on loading the front of the rack.

IMHO the full bonnet and partial bonnet chequer is but ugly and you lose the attactive look of the centre bulge.

Daniel/Mulgo ordered me in the small 'hump' piece and we laid it out on the bonnet before he fitted it. Not only did it look crappy, it didn't really cover the area I mentioned above where you need to step.

Agree with the others who have found the bonnet (despite being steel) will crumple and pop back - although at 90kg I'm no lightweight. Now I just stick to the wings and the hinges and all is sweetness and light....

Maybe these offer the best of both worlds:

    Haubentritte - Aluminium-Tränenblech - REINFORCEMENT - PRODUCTS

I don't know if I'll bother, but they're pretty unobtrusive and I'm sure they'd do the job nicely.
