Here you go,
this is about upgrading a remote filter on a NAS V8 110, but still I would not go there on a TD5,
NAS Defender oil line upgrade
the more places that you introduce for something to go wrong, the greater the chance it will.

I tap an old flat head screw driver that has been sharpend a bit into the filter body and turn just enough to crack the seal... takes all of 3 seconds and it's not messy either as one might expect.
