Having no idea what I should be finding- what I found was heaps of oil in the vicinity and nothing else. Is this fine?

Apart from placing the hose back on do I need to do anything else and would of their been a reason the hose came off in the first place which needs addressing?
Maybe the hose clamp was not tightened sufficiently or overlooked when you had the work done recently. Has power returned to normal after refitting hose/clamp?

happened to me too on the disco... i thought i had blown a tyre as i was giving it a huge bootful! so it went with a massive bang... yes just tighten it up nicely.. also maybe make sure pipe and mounting point are clean of oil to stop it slipping off again...

regarding oil.. i recently replaced the pipes on the disco and deefer and both had a nice layer of oil inside... and in the low spots there were some very small pools of oil (i'm assuming collected from sitting overnight) i am considering proventing them both (see the thread) as this rips all oil out of the breather and makes things a little cleaner...

    Thanks
