    LT95 Diff Lock

While I have got the gear box out for a fix up is there a modification to replace the vacuum operated ctr diff lock actuator to a manual type engagement ?
What set up do Perenties have?
    Thanks Pat

The best thing to do is to re fit a new diaphram into the vacume pod this is a tricky job tho can be done you need to work the seam open around the out side so the pod comes apart then replace the rubber diaphram and then pein over the seam to reseal it .
LRA do the diaphram for about $15 or they can supply a whole new vac pod ive never seen a mechanical set up tho it would be a good option .

Perentie's use the same actuator but a different switch which is located on the dash in place of the rear wiper or cig lighter.

If you have a V8, make sure the heat shield for the actuator is in place - exhaust heat will kill the diapraghm quickly.

The Perentie style vacuum switches are better quality and are available from pneumatic supply places.

Mechanical conversions have been discussed on US forums but I dont know of any off-the shelf kits. After replacing my actuator pod and switch, I've found the vacuum system to be reliable (touch wood).
