Thread: Where are the air con components?

Hi, got a air con from the wreckers and had it installed. Finally narrowed intermittent problem down to electrics. Losing total power intermittently. I'm guessing a relay or dodgey connection. I know the thermo amp, fuse etc is meant to be mounted in the battery well (mine isn't) and not quite sure where they've put it but guessing it's probably behind the duct / fan unit with the relay etc. Does anyone know where the epectric componentry is mounted in the under dash unit? Is it to the left near the fan? Is there a panel to remove without pulling the whole thing out?

Is it diifficult to pull the underdash unit out without disconnecting cooling pipes etc?

Mine is a 93 Defender and the air con unit is out of a similar era vehicle

The relay, etc are fitted in the battery box when it was a dealer/LRA fitted system, otherwise I have no idea ?
