Thread: 200tdi engine mount

Well I've just had a great day


Started off with a flat front passenger tyre 3km's into a track, then the old girl overheated (which was odd), then the gearstick moved left about 20 cm's which got me thinking what the hell is going on.

So I had a closer look and the fan blade was hitting the shroud and the whole engine seemed to be towards the passenger side more than it should be.

So I checked the engine mounts and found both of them absolutely shagged!



So end result is I cut off the fan shroud, tied the turbo hose out of the way, wired up the engine mounts with fencing wire and limped into Lakes Entrance.



Anyway the question - is anyone aware of somewhere between here and Melbourne to get 2 of them. I can fit it myself easily enough, I just need the parts.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated as I don't really want to try and continue up to Albury (another 700 km's or so).

Doesn't matter - getting two new ones tomorrow delivered up the road from where I am. I'll fit them whilst the kids play at the park.
