Hey All,

about to pick up my new (to me) '99 Defender 130 HCPU (180k, one owner). After running a D2 TD5 for the last 7 years I thought about what preventative maintenance I would need to do up front on this new landy - I'm not including normal servicing, upgrades or nice-to-haves, just the things that could cause a drama on a trip...

I've scoured the threads but please add to my list as I'm sure there are more out there, some that I've forgotten about and I'm probably missing deefer specific stuff - this may be useful to others...

- Check for oil in loom
- replace fan hub bearing
- loctite oil pump bolt
- replace intercooler hoses
- flush cooling system and replace coolant (with what? HOAT, OAT, green stuff?)
- ....
