Trying to fit a A-frame nudge bar.

    G'day.
I just bought my First 4wd, a defender 110 hardtop and absolutely love it!
But aside form that i just bought a nudge bar with the intention of mounting some lights on it. It's a genuine land rover nudge bar and its meant to fit on a standard Defender bumper, however it appears to be about 2.5cm too wide. This means that it wont line up with the appropriate mounting points....

Has anyone fitted a nudge bar to a 1994 defender and can recall the steps they took? or has anyone got any suggestions as to what i might be doing wrong?

Maybe we need a photo of what the nudge-bar looks like?
