Big Red is pretty serious stuff. I've only seen it in person without cars on it, and I was amazed vehicles would even get up it. For that sort of stuff, be prepared to break something, IMHO. Also, I wouldn't even attempt it without at least rear lockers. As a matter of fact, I don't think I would attempt it full stop. My wallet isn't fat enough!

On the other point, there's plenty of other challenging options that I consider far less of a risk, but plenty of fun. I'll be heading out there in a few weeks, and whilst I'm no expert on the place, I know a few good tracks that are definitely able to give the Defender a work out.

To each their own, I guess.

I've driven Big Red, and little red. BR is bloody awful. LR is pretty easy.

I had a wheel stand moment when trying it, which resulted in shaky brake leg syndrome!

All on this video, little red (1.55) and big red (2.45)

I have done little red again in very wet conditions towards the end of last year when it was a lot harder - thats on video too somewhere. Haven't ever tried big red again.

Too much risk even with a roll cage.

As for location, I would have to check on maps, as I was just following a group of a few cars.

lil red and big red are now undriverbull, for one lil red is prity impossibul to get up with out winches and no more side of your car, once u get to the top with half a car you will find the track has been washed away with the last rains, so that makes getting to big red inpossibull, unless u wana go down big red(witch you wont) you cant drive it, the buy pass track allso got washed away and blocked off,

bit of a shame realy they were great tracks,

as for the rest of powerlines, id be very serprized if you could drive it the full lingth now, was out there 2 weeks ago and was with some serious cars( GU 37s twin locked cage, and a normal pootrol driver with lotas skinny pedel) and he couldent get up some of the ' used to be' easy hills, the ruts are huge now,

big and lil red are the easyest to find,,, just go to the look out, flowo it down and take a right at the next T, and its about 1k down the road next to were all the moto boys get there bikes off,

there are alot of crazy tracks out there, and if its full extream your after there all out there to be driven,
