    Fitting Terrafirma Winch Bar

Will be fitting a new winch bar this weekend to the new 90 and just wanted to check to see if there are any issues to look out for.
To me it looks straight forward but would like to hear what others think.
    Cheers.

    Hi Magic,

Should be pretty straight forward. I used rope to suspend the bar while I worked on it, made it much easier. I also fitted a bash plate at the same time.

Dont be alarmed at the amount of spacers you need between the mounts on the chassis rails!

You will have probably discovered it already if you are fitting this weekend but you cannot use the existing bolts as they are too short. If yours is the same as my 90 and equipe bar you will need to buy longer bolts and lots of washers for spacers. Obviously make sure you get appropriately rated bolts. I also had to remove the grill to get the bolts into the top of the rails. You can fiddle around and get them in but removing the grill is easy and makes it easier and quick. No need for a rope just lift it and rest on the rails and then insert the bolts.

Also forgot to answer your question.... its easy to fit and only takes a few hours once you have the right bolts and enough washers.

We saw the bar at Wandin and ordered one from Ritters in Burwood. Cost $780 (I know now I've said that, someone will have found one cheaper - but were very happy with the service).
Hubby fitted it in about an hour - very straight forward he says.

Fitted photos to follow cause he won't let me take a photo till he's wired in the aerial!!!! That's tonight's job

When you remove the grill only loosen the top bolts inside the grill housing as the housing just slips out and the bolts are a bugger to get back in. You'll need to remove the bottom two though
