    yes or no answer required

Hi all, I get my new 110 this Monday and will be fitting 255/85/16 Big Horns.

My question is will they foul on full articulation ? These will be fitted to standard boost rims

    Cheers

I have 255/85 bighorns on disco steels with 20 mm extra offset over std.

Standard height coils all round when tyres originally fitted.

The fronts do not foul under any circumstances.
The rears rub a bit when 4x4ing with a load on (e.g. 4 people, 2 kayaks and camping gear). Nothing serious though.

If you do your offroading without much of a load then it should be fine.

    Yes. (more than likely)

On standard boost rims, the fronts will more than likely foul on the radius arms. The rears may rub on the top of the coil under heavy load or whilst 4WDing

    Ben,
Where do the rears rub? My rims must have greater offset as they rub quite frequently-they don't really tuck into the flares, and am looking to get rims with less offset to counteract that-ther D1 steelies or 130 rims.

If heavily loaded they rub the flares.

If unladen they pivot from a lower (imaginary) point, so tuck inside the flares.

I also have 285/75-16s (33") on reversed disco rims with another 10 mm of offset, and these rub the tops of the flares quite a bit.

Thanks, despite the ~2" suspension lift (which I'd like to reduce) mine rubs when unladen whilst articulating.

That's why I got the narrower rims made specially for the 110.

I think it is a MAYBE

Boost rims don't seem to have much offset.

Fronts - NO - but you may have to wind the stops out slightly.

Rears - will MAYBE rub on the coil turrets if the rims have too little offset, or instead rub on the flares if too much. But probably only when laden.

I doubt you will have any serious rubbing.
