    Paul,

Before I order the switch YUG000540LNF, I believe i need a connector - like part ZZPLUG01 on a site call www.dingocroft.co.uk. Is that the right connector block for the back of the switch we are talking about do you think?

Yes, you need the Black switch connector for YUG000540LNF.

Have a look on eBay UK, it can be bought quite a bit cheaper on there

Ok Paul, you are providing me with all the good info, and I really appreciate your input - just another question though.

I just went to Dingocroft Electrical Miscellany and the switch is right there part YUG000540LNF, and also the connector kit part ZZPLUG01.

Im ready to order these bits, but I just read this "Front fog lamp switch for facelift dash on Defenders 2002 onwards."

So we are right to assume that the switch fits the new 2007 on, puma dashboard as well - are we? I'm pretty certain this is correct, but just need to be sure.

YUG000540LNF fits Defenders from 2002 (with the centre switch console) through to the Puma Defenders being made today.

    Thanks

I will post them to you tomorrow. The Post Office is closed until Wednesday, because of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Holiday.

I do love eBay - when replying to you, I get the following advice -

"The user you are contacting is registered on another eBay site and may speak a different language. Your message will be sent exactly as typed below"

Their programmers could do with a good kick up the @rse

Some thread mining here, I've been trying to figure out why my wiring for my newly installed E-Locker was not behaving. I've bought 4 of these switches now and have finally got one to work properly. I can confirm that the wiring and picture at the top of the thread posted by Mellow Yellow are indeed correct for YUG000540LNF. I suspect the issue might be getting a switch that works and getting the correct switch. The first two switches I bought from mud came in blank white boxes and the indicator LED on them only works for about a minute then fades out. I thought that I had blown them up but they worked briefly again tonight before fading out again. I bought two more switches from Craddocks that showed up in Britpart boxes and one of them I could not get the indicator led to light up at all but I suspect that I may have a heated seat switch in the wrong box. The last switch I had works perfectly when installed and wired up per the diagrams. To add insult to injury I also had a relay that would buzz and not work as well.
Anyway all fixed now, and the diff lock works as it should.

    Regards,
    Tote
