so what do we get here in aus on our pumas ?
defender county or defender XS, i'm sure there are diferences in the UK,
i've had a look on the ID plate, but it only gives the serial number
    and trim as 1

i'm sure someone out there knows

I think I read somewhere that I now can't find that all the Defenders that come to Aus are the County trim spec, but that may have related to the Extreme models. Do the current spec have ipod compatibility, thats only offered in XS trim spec in the UK.

If you go to the LR UK site you will get the specs for each of the variants.

The Aussie spec includes a lot of what are options in the UK...it makes our shopping simple.

The Aussie spec is like a County spec without carpet but with ABS and Traction control and Air Conditioning.

A few of us have turfed the standard Defender head unit...they are woeful particularly reception wise regardless of whether thay have Ipod connectivity or not.

see what i come up with
guess you could say we only get county spec, and all defender buyers spec hard floor coverings...lol... couldnt imagine haveing carpet anyway

just spent an hour or so comparing the uk versions of county and xs models
guess we have a mix and match setup
the base model doesnt have carpet
the seats are xs style, but seem to be county covered
    radio is county
xs has heated seats like svx, and the county and xs have abs and etc and immobiliser

so at the end of the day, maybe i have a BASIC XS COUNTY double cab 110 pickup

but i think it could be closer to county

any thoughts, i have probably missed something though

    cheers
