    Confession Time

    OK I bought another Landrover. Like I really need another one!

    96 300Tdi single cab tray.

    Joins the 56 S1, 61 S2, 81 S3Army, 85 County, Disco2,

    I think I got lucky, it was sold as having stuffed engine or injection pump,
    blows clouds of diesel smoke and fuming from breathers, but compression test shows 2,3 & 4 close to new pressures (360psi) and no.1 at 90, and I can hear it leaking into the rocker cover. Might be head gasket I hope.
    No broken piston noises.

    Plan is to build it up as a tourer with either a canopy or a pop top, to replace the Disco.

    The project begins.....

    Black Mountain is on the Bruthen - Jindabyne Rd. 30k N of Gelantipy, 12k north of Wulgulmerang. 30k from the NSW border.

    Is that a giant fuel tank hanging under the tray.

    You will be able to drive anywhere you want to get the treatment

    Hi Jason,

    Yes looks like a truck tank somebody fitted. Measurements suggest it is a 100 litre.
    Std 79 litre rear tank is still there.

    Wonder how long it will take me to rip that filler off.....
