FWIW and interest. I've got a 2001 build first registered 4 /1/2002 Def TD5 and it has the little yellow circle for traction control. Works on start up and cuts out as soon as I get to about 10Kph.
Guess I'll learn something everyday on AULROPerhaps LR should have called it the "electronic hand throttle and idle jack thing", doesn't have quite the same ring to it as "antistall" though...
Cheers,

Ok, so, if the vehils does have a sensor to tell it that its in low range, where is it supposed to be?
Otherwise I'll just assume that its not really controlled by anything in the computer, but rather the govenor and kevin from rovertech is right about it running a little richer before...
Cheers for all the input...

If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
But what happens in a pre 07 model if you put both feet on the brake and push hard? Does it stall?
A Puma doesn't.
Cheers,
No it doesn't. You can not stop it without either keying off or putting your foot on the clutch.
p.s. I should have added it has to be in Low range 1st gear.
Could your previous transfer case have had crawler gears fitted, this might have allowed you to get further without stalling?

The Puma anti-stall is very impressive: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZZ7Fn9hR0c]YouTube - Defender 90 Film: L088 DEF 07MY TOW[/ame]
The argument that a governor = anti stall is spurious. It is not the same thing as the anti-stall feature fitted to a puma by any stretch of the imagination.
(however owners have reported on here that it is possible to stall them if you try hard enough).
