You liked it, you got it... I have no issue with that at all...

As for art of selling - I don't try to sell.
You either want it or you don't....

I purchased a Tombraider edition because I liked it... Modified it because I wanted to and sold it because I didn't need it any more.

I have no issues with that at all :)

All I was pointing out was that the long term 'investment' prospects of a TDCi aren't going to do it any favors.

Just tonight I was chatting to a fellow LR enthusiast at the Snapper Championship with a Puma...

Loves it - but has no intention of owning it after 3 years due to constant issues...

These will plague owners in future and even up spec versions will only be a few grand more because of the better seats etc..

@Pat.... I love the look of that new model... The colour and rims sold me... Hopefully by now the bugs are ironed out...

I'm in the middle of getting the Puma ready for the Kimberly fishing trip in only 10 days now. I think this will be the make or break trip for the 110.

Look you can see the different management styles of the owners of LR at the time the models where introduced, with the BMW as a boss the engines and transmissions got the dollars so you ended up with the td5(and the GM/RRc 3.9 petrol v8 mainly for export) in 2 models both disco and defender(yes I know it was started beore BMW took over) and the bmw donks in the RR along with more advancement of the traction control(that they copied)and suspension system.
The td5 could have been adapted to suit the new euro emission laws but by that stage ford was in charge and the accountants said no here's you 50cent's allowance to shop in the ford store for an engine, so we ended up with the transit engine which LR had about a week to put all the ancilleries on, or so it seems, and to match it up to the gearbox/transfer case and check the quality of the diff's. This was after ford gave them 12months to do the interior and dash which drained all the development $$.
What tombie said was on the dot in that the interior on the new defenders is excellent but all the unseen bits seem to have been cheapened down to LR enthusiests (OUR) dissapointment.
