Well I have had 5 90's and 4 110's and never had a problem. And I have given them some real crap

Problem with forums is you always hear when people have a problem and not when nothing is wrong and they are happy with them

    My Defender Horror Story....

One day I jumped in my 110 and flipped down the sun visor. Sitting behind the sun visor was a Huntsman Spider, not a particularly big one, but as it was only 5 inches from my eyeball I considered it to be the biggest spider in the world at that time. I was scared.

    The end.

I have a big one that lives in my Defer. I just let him stay these days and in return he only shows himself when I park.

I guess all Defenders have a spider, according to Google they even have a part number: LEG5008

I spray mine weekly for spiders, wouldn't want to poison the stealers at service time

    Thats ridiculous!
The split radiator assembley & coolant expansion tank was cause by a faulty expandsion pressure cap and it will cost $2800 to remove, and reconnect a new one. The Transfer Box Assembly was discover during the repairs, and it might have been cause by some extreme 4wding done last month but not certain.

WHAT would you say back..honestly ?????

Honestly, I would say go for it.

Sadly I would have to increase my debt to cover these repairs, but I love the Defender. If you can afford it buy it new, if not and you are handy
working on your vehichle go for a older model.

As I love my Puma, but sometimes I miss my old Series 3 '73 109 GS ExArmy LR as it was easy to repair it yourself.

Very True, had it now for 3.5 years and the only problem I had apart from now is the oil leak on the hand brake drum, which was covered under warrenty/LR Recall.
