    Installing clutch master cylinder

I need to replace my clutch master cylinder in my TD5 130. To remove the master cylinder do I need to remove the entire pedal box (clutch pedal) or can it be removed independantly ??

it can be removed without pulling the pedal box.

unless you happen to have a 1/4 inch drive socket set with a uni and a wobble bar extention and a zero degree offset 13mm ratcheting ring spanner its easier to pull the pedal box.

I agree with Dave - it is possible to do without removing the pedal box, but removing the pedal box is by far the easiest way of doing it, and the only way I would consider.

Job done. Had to phone a friend but managed to do the job. Bottom bolt was tuff, had to hold spanner from inside cab. Why did'nt they use studs instead of bolt and nut ??.
Looking back thru old threads it seems the measurement of 140mm to bottom of pedal is important.
Is this measurement taken from bottom lip of clutch pedal rubber directly back to sloping section of foot well ? If so it leaves very little clutch pedal travel and very early take up !
    Thanks all

Now that you have done yours, can you please drive down to Werribee Victoria and do mine?
So I don't have to do it during the Easter break
Did you get yours re-sleeved in stainless steel?

With two people it was'nt to bad. Impossible by yourself.
I bought one from British 4WD in Tassie, it's a TRW brand. Looks like just an ally one.
Obviously they let go regularly. Is stainless re-sleeve a more durable repair ?
Might be a good idea to get my old one done.

The title that appears under your name changes as you increase the number of posts you have made. The actual names and the numbers varies now and then, and I have no idea what the current list is!

Whilst this is not specifically for a 130, I doubt there is much difference.
