I got a section of C channel steel, about 230 x 90 by memory and sat the winch in it, bolted down rope out in front. Cut out for the hawse and a plate each side bent to bolt under the channel and to the chassis. It's in a D2 but the principles the same, cost under $100- as well.

My old man has a high mount bolted to a piece of 1/2"plate which has to pieces welded to it to slip over anmd under the original bumper bar, bolted vertically (on S3), sat there for 20+ years and never bent then transfered to D1 ARB bar and just drilled the holes to suit and still there.
