td5 intercooler
I thought I would share my experiance of changing intercoolers.
My 130 td5 is a 01 and had the thin early type intercooler and I swapped it out for a later model intercooler that I got of Gecko, when he fitted a Ali Sport one a while ago.
So as it was sitting on the shelf and I was already swaping stuff out of my county to the 130, I thought I would fit the later intercooler as well as I was swapping bullbars and now was a good time.
The core is bigger and the tubes are bigger in the newer cooler. First impression on test drive was less turbo lag so it felt abit better in the bottom end, which is good as I am used to driving my Isuzu turbo powered county that pulls harder than a 15 year old.
So if you are able to get on for cheap I would do it, I will be going for a high performance one before I get the engine chipped but thought I would try this for an experiment.
