On a realistic side why not the Wipac ones? They aren't that expensive and they are the standard H4 headlights on a Defender.

I have 2 sets of the Wipac rear form reflectors, one installed, one spare set. Poly carb lenses but look good. Should be pics of them on the RRC in my photobucket page.Quote:

These are apparerntly standard 7" lights - not much info on the listing though,

There is no way those lights are ADR approved. They'd be really easy to spot by any copper too since there is zero diffusal in the lens.
It's not really an issue until it becomes an issue...

I think he means teh Indian clear lens lights with the projector low beam lens inside.
I do not know whether they are ADR approved but can't see why illegal as there are plenty of lights around with no lens in front of a projector.
AFAIK they are EEC approved which is usually enough.

Vlad, don't bother with those, cheap nasty Chinese crap. Reflector is rubbish. Went down this road for about 2 months locally sourced thru SSS Autoparts until. I had enough. Spread was all over the place.

These are OEM Landrover listed replacements. Part number S6071.
Just be sure that you get RHD variant. Picked up two pair off fleabay for $220 landed from the UK.

Wouldn't that require a different reflector profile for both the low and high beams then? The low beam generally cuts off most light above waist height, while the high beam doesn't. I'd expect modern cars achieve this through multiple reflectors as a single reflector couldn't do this. Or can they do it by blocking the low beam filament, like all H4 bulbs?Quote:
