    Aftermarket headlights for Defender

Looking to get some lights to replace my sealed beam units. Want ones I can fit H4 bulbs to.

Must have glass lens and be of good quality.

    Anyone offer good options?

I have IPF in my Rangie with 130-100W bulbs.
Great light but fill up with water when you do a deep crossing. On my old car I sealed tthem with silastic and made vents, but can't be fussed.

I replaced mine with Cibie on the recommendation of Fred Smith. Have been quite happy with them. As they are a standard light, there is plenty of choice.

Go to your local wreckers and have a look around. I got a pair of Hella H4's out of a damaged commercial van. They were in excellent condition and only cost $10ea. I fitted them to my County and they were a vast improvement over the originals.

Bosch SB7, Hella 1058 or 1058HD. Two best std lenses available in glass.

HD is heavy duty. Would assume maybe thicker glass but check with a Hella distributor. 1058's would be fine.

I am thinking about buying the Indian jobs with the clear lens and projector low beam from Ebay.
    Has anyone tried them yet?
Reports on brightness vs patterned lens?
Theoretically projector low beam should be good. It was in my BMW.
