Yeah - I got the letter on Friday and mine is 6 months out of warranty. Must be everyone's.
Thought I would let everybody know, that may have moved or details are not up to date with LR, I Just got a re-call notice from LR, 2007 to 2011 year model D'Fers.
As follows -
"Land Rover recently carried out a no-charge recall action....However, following investigations it has been established that the repair was not robust enough and as a consequence, the repair needs to be carried out again....
"Land Rover has been aware of a small number of cases where; as a result of oil leaking from the rear of the transfer box, the park brake shoes have become contaminated with oil.....
"Land Rover dealer ships will remove the output shaft flange, clean splines, apply loctite and where necessary the brake shoes will also be replaced....
Contact your dealer.....your dealer will do this work free of charge...
It sounds like they do the repairs (again) regardless if you are in or out of the warranty period.
Second time lucky....
