Thread: Defender Indicators

Can anyone point me to the relevant wiring diagram / info as to how the front indicators are wired in a Tdi Defender?

My Front RHS one wasn’t working so I pulled it out and.. someone has cut the wires ?? Obviously it’s never worked and I only recently discovered that ! Wonder how it passed roadworthy?

Anyway I want to fix it. Further complicating the situation, however, is the fact I have an ARB bar which has indicators built in to it.

On the LHS of the indicator loom there is a plug wired in so that, in theory, both indicators would work. However only the one on the vehicle actually DOES work.

This is something I really want to fix so any diagrams / advice appreciated.

It’s gonna be a bugger though because access is a right bastard !

The indicators in the bar are just run in parrallel with those in the front panel.

Yep I had the headlights out and while it is improved it's not "good" eh !

Run a +ve and a -ve from the back of the OEM indicator down to the chassis rail, out the front and to the bar.

You may have to do some hunting for that cut wire in the RH guard? At worst you could probably parrallel some new wires from the side indicator across tot he front and down to the ARB.
