    Loss of power. Brushing noise?

Late last night while my wife was driving back from work the SVX without warning lost power. It still went, but very slowly. Apparently this morning it is going almost normally but a "brushing" sound is coming from engine bay.
Dealer doesn't seem to concerned and have told her sometimes these things happen and then just fix themselves.

Can't give much more info, I haven't driven it yet. Over the weekend it behaved perfectly.

Bit annoyed, have a camping trip coming up this weekend which is centered around my Defender which has been planned for almost 2 months.

Don’t be put off, if it happens again just deal with it then, enjoy your camping

Mate, I had an issue with loss of power last week. I changed the fuel filter and it's been right since. Hope yours is as simple.

If you lose power and get lots of black smoke, your intake is getting blocked, possible by a collapsed rubber pipe.

It's just happened again. She managed to limp into work. Calling the dealer again. This time I hope they do something.
Will update if I get any info.

Dealer just called. Apparently a split in the intercooler hose. If one gets here from Melbourne in time our camping trip can still be on.

Good to know they found it and it's a relatively easy fix !
