Smile Looks like the SVX is going to stay.

Well we just got back from a 5700km fishing trip to the north of W.A. and I must say the Puma was fantastic both off and on road. We were loaded to the max but it was a pleasure to drive. Some of the off road tracks were very rough post the wet and the roof rack rattled loose, we lost the number plate on the boat trailer, the hub dust cover on the trailer flew off, fixed with gaffer tape, a flyspray can lid and wire trace to hold it on. But that was it. That is until it got home, the EGR clean cycle "rattle" that is standard now sounds like a rusty tin under the hood. Think it may be done in. For service next week and other than the EGR and rear passenger doors dust entry I am having a hard time finding anything to moan about.

Great feed back Allan We did 5 weeks away up to Kunnanara and across to Darwin and the old 300tdi was absolutely faultless too ... shame about our friends Nissan 3.0 died in Halls Creek
Dust in thru the bottom of the passengers door and our second battery biting the bullet was all we had go wrong

Could have been I think I wave at everyone when on a trip like that. Its the first time we have fished north of Broome and it was fantastic. The road up to One Arm Point, though dirt only about 100 km was very rough with very deep ruts in places, they had just started with the grader as we left. We visited Pt Sampson on the way home, another fantastic spot. I think I will do this trip again next year but with a second freezer. To many fish, not enough room.

Good to hear the SVX is a keeper. I’ve read your posts over the years and you’ve spent a lot of time and $ sorting your vehicle out. It would be a shame to let it go after all that hard work and effort.

Thanks for that, now I find I need to move the freezer to the rear seat area and fit a second to the drivers side rear seat position, in other words replace the seats with mounts for the freezers. Any sugestions would help, I have a slide out mounted on the draw system but find it a pain when loaded and need to get to something, so it has to go. I think Mulgo make one for the passenger side but I need the full monty. Thanks again for your comments.
