    What clutch to use??

    G'day Gents
I'm going to put a new clutch in Jessie soon and was wondering if anyone had some advice on what good quality clutch kits there are out there and where in Victoria I could find them.
    300Tdi with R380 gearbox.
Also, is it easier to take the engine out or drop the gearboxes out to do the clutch, I've had different people tell me different things.
    Thanks in advance

When my engine was out after The Prang, I got the clutch done, just the standard one, but soon after I drove a mate's 300tdi Defender and he had put in a "Heavy Duty" clutch and it was awesome. Felt like you could ride it in The Quilty. I wish I had known at the time I got mine done. It was put in by a big independent LR shop, so I daresay it's well known around the place.

Whatever you decide make sure the kit includes a strengthened fork, do a search on that, there has been some posts.

Sorry that's all I know. Key words heavy duty and braced clutch fork.
