    Alternator

So further to my battery light being on.

I drove my car this morning (110 Td5), started okay and then about 200m down the road the speedo failed, the radio turned off and everything went a bit crazy. Pulled over to the side of the road to turn it off and restart it and no joy, flat battery. Must have used the last bit of charge to turn the engine over.

So what are my options now? I know the alternator must be kaput but is it time for a new one or can I rebush (not sure what this means) my old one or recondition it or such like?

Not looking forward to the bill anyway. I am imagining to access it you have to take the radiator out anyway judging by where it sits, am I right?

Any tips would be a great!

    Cheers
