    Towball

Just spent about two hours trying to connect my new trailer with treg hitch to my new puma defender with LR factory tow bar. Should have taken about 10 mins. But I could not undo the tow ball nut. after much violence with a long bar and sledge hammer finally had to resort to cutting the tow ball off with hacksaw. Why oh why does everything get done up so tight. So the moral is to check your balls before you have to get them out!

    All my balls are snug.
If I find they are tight, I have a large bar and deep socket that soon loosens them.

    Puma Tow Ball Removal

To get my ball off, I had to use a rag & a pair of Stilsons around the base of the ball and a socket with a long bar on the nut.

    I agree, way too tight!

only use a 10" or 12" shifter, no need to hang off it either as the spring washer stops the nut from coming undone
