Yeah mate use the original canceller. Its a ring type with two prongs. I did the same, accidently threw it away. Long story short, bought a new canceller 20$-.

						Hey all,
Anyone fitted a Moto-Lita Steering wheel to a TD5 Defender?
I put one on the other day and it is not cancelling the indicators anyone know how I can fix it?

Not strictly related to your enquiry, but have you checked the roadworthy situation with these wheels? Steering wheels are an ADR item, and the Moto-Lita ones aren't ADR approved, which is a bugger, because I want one!!
It could cause insurance issues as well.
Cheers,
Lionel
Actually, the Defender (as a category MC but NOT fwd control) is not required to meet ADR10-03 (or any of the earlier versions). Hence I got a Moto-Lita wheel (and more than happy with it).
I fitted one a few weeks back and it's great.....
At the back of the boss are 2 small holes where pins (supplied) go in, align them up-down and they should do the job - hopefully the same as the original (mine was dodgy before anyway.... need a new assembly)
Wondering what these steering wheels were all about I had a look at Moto-Lita web site. WTF. Not too sure I need one of their steering wheels (mine works fine at the moment) but the flying jackets look rather good, maybe a flying helmet and goggles too.
.
Looks like the sort of stuff that MG drivers would rate.
