    Polyair Pics

    I've just had delivered a set of Polyair springs for the rear.
    I realise that I could have bought cheaper from O/S but I like the idea of local support, even if it cost a little more.
    Does any one have photos of their polyair's in situ?
    I found a couple in another thread but I need to see the top of the springs in place if possible.
    Any photos would be appreciated.

    Hey Bambusa,

    I fitted set of poly air about 12 months ago and they have been great. I agree with you, spend locally if possible.

    Can’t send a photo, as the D'Fer is at the stealers again for water leaks.

    It is very simple fit up.

    1/ Remove shocks/springs - lower axel.

    2/ Clamp the reinforcing plates into place (rounded edge facing out), then drill out the top spring mounts to suit the hole pattern. Fit and bolt plates into position.

    3/ The spacing blocks down with the larger side facing up, leaving the smaller side of the block to sit inside the spring.

    4/ For the bottom of the bag, where the bag rests against the bolt that retain the spring, I used some thinks rubber matting cut into shape, to protect it from the sharp edges of the bolt heads.

    5/ Follow the instruction for fitting of the air lines, use lots of cable ties to hold the air line up and of the way and be sure to leave a fair amount of air line to cater for suspensions articulation.

    I flicked the poxy supplied top plates and played with the 130 inner spring upper mount to secure the top rubber block. If you have a 110 this wont really be an option. IMO the supplied plate is a pretty cheap and nasty solution but I guess it works?

    The lower rubber block is part of the +2" kit which I would recommend even if you are running standard height coils. Bag fills out the coil better and block protects the bag.

    Thanks guys.
    I have a 110 so I will be using the supplied plates.
    I will however try to find some rubber for under the bag as suggested.
    Hopefully I will have them fitted in the next day or so but it is bloody cold and wet and windy outside and my carport is not weather proof! I might have to do it at work tomorrow afternoon

    The instructions say rubber protector at top smaller end up...Drover you put it in the other way...?
    I can't see it making any difference but the rubbers seem to have a larger hole in the middle of the fatter end which I guess accommodates the air fitting with space to spare.
    I will do it fat side down.
    I got some 3cm thick rubber this afternoon that I have to cut to fit inside the springs for the bottom. It has standard height suspension so hopefully it will be ok.

    My Bad....the smaller end sits up inside the spring mount on the chassis.
