    Wiper Motor Park Switch

So I tried to replace the wiper park switch on the defender. It was easy enough to do but when I took it off something must have happened because the new switch now doesn't switch the wipers off.

There must be something that depress the switch that is on the inner face of the switch assembly. This thing is what is missing on mine.

Does anyone have any idea what this thing is and how I can fix it?

Never heard of an auto park switch, normally you turn off and they auto park.

Rewired my County wipers last weekend and the there are two power wires one through the switch on the column stalk and another direct to the motor, if the one to the motor (green both cases - from memory) are disconnected.

On my non intermittent set up there are five wires on the switch: one power, one to the washers, and one each for fast, slow, single stoke.

Don't know if it'll help, but that how mine were wired and are no re-wired. If you've just replaced the switch surely all the same.

Hope this of some of some help.

The park switch is on the motor that i replaced. I am hoping that I don't have to replace the motor, does anyone know how big a job it is to fit the motor only i.e. no the drive parts
