    I wouldn't be so sure about that Pat. A nice lady let me drive her TD5 DEF in the LROCV trials a couple of weeks back and I was quite impressed.
    Swapping the ring and pinions out for those out of a couple of Ozito 4'' angle grinders would be an upgrade though

    I'm supprised you liked it,I take you as being more of a Isuzu/LT95/Sals type of guy.Totally agree on the diff's,only LR could make a new diff worse than all the previous types,they have got the springs and dampers right,I've given mine a blast over some corrigations and the control was very positive,the rebound control through dips is equal to the Koni's on my Tdi.     Very nice! I'm pretty sure I spotted you driving through a car park on Beaufort Street Mt Lawley a week or two ago. I nearly drove the work car into a wall not looking where I was going. If I'd been in the Defender no way would you have been able to keep going without stopping to let me have a proper look.
