That is true tuffrangie! However its easier said than done getting those shocks because after litterally over 30 emails to shock companys around the world I had no success I wanted either bilstein 7100 remote resivor, fox emulsion 2.0,racerunner or kings but USA does not want to respond to such orders (yes they can be purchased in australia but at triple the cost) so I ended up going with rancho due to being cheap, big and when it comes down to it hardly any of us are racing...

Rancho dont need to be raced to fade - unfortunately...
Even a leisurely drive can fade them quickly.

    And they never come back.

i had a tough dog rtc damper on my defender for 22 months and was great however it has just stuffed up and locks up in the middle of its travel.

all tough dog products come with a 2 year warranty however the don't want to cover my damper. not happy at all! won't buy tough dog again!

if i have to buy a new one i will probably get a terrafirma rtc damper. cheep enough and i have dealt with this sight before and is really good.

Terrafirma RTC return to centre Steering Damper - Defender Fitment Only

good luck with your rancho damper!

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Mids , I'll check if Terrafirma do one for a County

I am just about to fit 4 x new Bilsteins and the two existing ones fitted to rear are Monroes.

I might just fit one of those old rear ones

The two best places to buy proper shocks is:
Filthy Motorsports | Off-Road Parts and Accessories
eCommerce Website Design - eCommerce Web Development - Retail/B2B/Automotive - San Diego, CA

At 290 bucks a shock they smash any other bolt in shock or dampener on the market that is bolt in

I put an OEM aka Boge damper on my County a few weeks ago. It also cost around $165 but I can't find the receipt to confirm price. Feels very good!

Having an LSD in the front means return to centre is quick anyway

That is why I always make initial contact at least by telephone, even if it has to be in the wee small hours. That way I can explain exactly what I want and ask any questions all in one go,no need for back and forward emails etc.And I have bought quite a lot of bits for my Landies over the years from the U.K and bits for my Landies and my Harley from the U.S.
