Even though you don't have a rack, you could consider a rear alloy roof rack ladder, and then use that for mounting the tracks in an upright position.
If you're going to contemplate mounting the highlift there as well, then consider bolting the ladder to the body capping (just below the side/roof line) as well as the rear crossmember and roof. Also consider a mounting plate on the rear crossmember to take the weight of the jack.
If you make it to suit, you can have the jack sliding in behind the ladder (upright) and clamping in, and the tracks clamping onto the outside.
