    Hi Tombie,
Does your reflash also close the EGR valve?

I have my Navara (sorry I know its a Landrover forum) at chipit at the moment getting a chip done, they seem very switched on, the bloke i've been dealing with is called Robert.
Because the Navara runs very hot he suggested a EGT monitor in conjunction with the Chip, this switches the chip off if the Exhaust gets too hot, thus saving the engine, pretty important i'd say with the chipit as they do provide a lot more power & torque (producing more heat i'd have to guess).

Will put dyne results up of my Navara on monday if you like, its being used as a prototype as its a new model so don't know what to expect

OK, so I got the Navara back today, heres what happened.

They had the car for 6 days, god only knows why.
They promised me a loan car for monday so they could dyno it, this never eventuated, meaning I had to hire a car for 2 days.
They didn't return any phone calls.
Chip has done nothing, actually feels down on power now.
It cost heaps more than I was quoted.

Robert has promised to sort it out in 5 minutes on Friday, i'll give him the chance to get it sorted then or they can take it back out again.

Be a touch cautious is all i'll say for now

    G'day all again.

So Chipit aren't very happy about me posting up on here, and in fairness to them I should probably add a bit.

The 1 day turned into 6 days because my car was being used as a guinea pig, they hadn't worked on one before and obviously there were problems they ran into.
It ended up costing me more than quoted as a result of chinese whispers, the deal being set up by a mate who underquoted me, I should have clarified this with Chipit themselves and renegotiated once it took more than the one day.
I know a few people running around with Chipit chips installed, ALL of them have reported huge increases in performance and are very happy with the chipit chip.

As I said, they have promised to sort it out and I have faith that they will, they do seem to know what they are doing, it just seems like a bit of clarity was lost along the way.

So sorry to chipit, didn't mean to upset you, lets hope it can get sorted out, if not, no dramas, it can come out didn't really want a chip to start with.

Jeez, sometimes wonder why I bother these forums

Sounds like fun!! Chip It here in Adelaide run out of the local Sprint Car Parts place. lookin on the net their power increase is only up to 118kw from 90.. Davis Performance Landies is quoting power up from 90 to 140kw with 420nm.. This sounds good but will the donk take it?? Anyone dealt with them??

I had BAS (Bell Auto Services) do a re-map for me about 6 months ago on my SVX PUMA.

First map was fast, went like rocket over 2700rpm's but lacked bottom end.

Pete Bell did some adjustments and now it pulls like steam train from 1900rpm's on.

Perfect for heavy off roading or towing......couldn't be happier.

This is benefit of dealing with somebody who is a expert on one type of vehicle and not some novice who claims to be across all makes and models is that they know what to target to get what the customer wants, not a hit and miss process hoping they get it right.

Good advice to any body with any make, do your research and then go with a expert on your vehicle.

It will pay off with the end product.....

Thanks to Pete from Bell Auto Services (BAS) in Yorkshire, UK.
