I won a set of Mulgo seat rails at the AULRO 10th anniversary. A good bit of gear. Come with instructions, bolts, nuts, washers etc.
They are a good price based on Spud Boys estimate of $20 materials + 2 hours work for the DIY version. I also don't own a welder or know how to use one yet!
I am not that tall, but there is a tall person in my family who will now fit in our Defender.
Length of square section steel, a drill, a can of black spray paint and a few minutes of your time.
The ones I fitted were Puma specific and as such bolted straight on. They came with everything to do the job. For me being in a company house and not having the time or fabrication facilities they where just the ticket. :D
Same here,I like the look of the mud rails as they look factory standard and having a company house limits what I can do,for under $200 delivered I know they will hold up in a crash so they are cheap really.Thanks for the info
25mm box section, some longer bolts and 30mins is all you need.
Don't go the washer route as that puts too much strain on the mounting.

I removed my rails because even 25 mm was too high and vision out of the top of the windscreen and side window was severely reduced, I'm only 6ft.
In my opinion washers are a far superior and adjustable solution. It only takes a few minutes each bolt and you can do one at a time without removing the seat.

No Pat, infact I think the Mud Rails sit the seat higher.
