    Air Cleaner To Turbo TD5

After sorting the exhaust and intercooler pipes over the last couple of days, I noticed the pipe between the air cleaner box and turbo could benefit some improvement. It gets quite warm and is well, to put it rudely, crud. Does anyone know if an after market replacement is available, or should I just wrap against the heat?

I have seen some alloy and silicon hose jobies made but more for looks than anything.

The biggest improvement for flow before the turbo is to change the flexi duct from the airbox to intake on the guard/ snorkle to a full 3' hose.

I have also removed the hump in the airbox to even more flow as im running a vnt and massive remap and need all the air i can get.

Any photo's of this mod would be great, did you wrap the pipe between the box and turbo. I could not get over how hot it gets on a 37 deg Perth day.

I have not wrapped it yet, looking at getting a turbo blanket to hold the heat.

    Airbox.

Replace all this crap with this.

And if you are still worried about air temp fit one of these.
With Aus spec cars with the ext nose a NON AC intercooler can be fitted (whilst still keeping the ac) because uk cars do not have the ext nose cone. Non ac coolers are 20mm thicker (from allisport anyway.)

Thanks for that, what sort of power and torque is your TD5 putting out, and that is some intercooler

The 90 is not 100% ready for driving but talking with the tuner it should be around 230 hp and around 500nm.
