I hope the problem is fixed

And if it is indeed a Limited Edition 90 - you, young lady, are the envy of many, many Old Codger Land Rover Owners.
Okay that remark about the 143,253 others asking a question actually made me laugh out loud!

And yes it is a limited edition and yup I think I'm kinda lucky too have it.. I'm sure whatever it is will be fixed.. I still love her.. smoke and all lol..

Hi Sue, regarding the smoke, could be a number of things but off the top of my head:

Fuel Quality, I find I get a quite a bit of smoke if I fill up at certain service stations.

MAF Sensor, some times these give problems.

EGR valve, problematic in the earlier "Pumas" (2007 on vehicles)

Turbo wiring harness, some 2010 models had problems with these failing.

Either way, get the dealer to look at it while they are changing your diff pinion seal.

    Cheers,

    Tim

I tried to read this but my head exploded some where in the middle.... yes I am not mechanically minded.. BUT I have written it down and will ask them to look at those things when they change the seal..

Oh and I don't think it's fuel as I rarely fill the tank in the same place each week..

As you do long distance commutes like me. Try filling up at the truck stops rather than the smaller servos. I try to always use the same places so that if I gt bad fuel they have no hope of arguing.
The reason for using the same place as the trucks is the diesel will be turned over on a regular basis and truckies don't like bad fuel.

    Hi Sue
I agree with George 130 about trying to fill up at the same servo.I do with my 90
and have had no problems, has done 23,000ks. I got the first limited edition 90 from
the coast. I would take it back and get them to check it out.
    Merry Xmas all.
