    Wheel offset?

    I will shortly be putting some 35 12.5 R15s on my V8 90.

For thses I will be getting wider rims (8 x 15 rather than the current 7 X 15).

The turning cirle on the swb is very good with the 32 11.5 tyres on there so I would be happy to run smaller offset and sacrafice some steering lock to reduce the load on running gear.

How much offset should I be looking to get?

Also, which way is +, which is - ?

    Thanks for the help.

Have you all ready got the tyre's, if not consider going to a 16 inch rim, a 35 x15 has a very big side wall and has a lot of flex and the 16 will behave a little better. + is when the outside wall of the tyre moves closer to the CL of the vehicle and - is when the wall moves further away thus giving the car a wider wheel track. I run 16x8 with neg 25 offset. With a 12.5 inch wide tyre you will need that much offset. I used to run 15x8 neg 25 on my last car for the 33/12.5/15 and had slight rubbing on the rear spring perch

    I agree 100%.

Way too much sidewall exposed on 15" rims for my liking and to top it we've gone 60 years with 16", so not much point in reinventing the ...
