    Yep... just a short jaunt down the road to Townsville!! 2000km round trip just to have a possibly dodgy seal looked at and that's assuming that I'm not flooded in by the time my next days off come round.

    Not being a puma owner, but is this the same problem that has affected all Defender hand brakes since pretty much 1948?

    Brake shows bind with mud or bad adjustment (or driver forgets to take off before driving), heat caused by this action cooks the seal which allows oil to leak and renders the brakes only slightly more crap that it was from new?

    Based on that analysis, every Defender should be recalled an an X-Eng brake installed
