From D3 to Def 90
Have many people out there gone from D3 to Defender 90?
I have just sold my D3 & am thinking of a 90 while they are on sale.
I do not need the space so that is not an issue.
My only concern at this stage is seat space which I think I can address via mulgo or mud rails.
If so could you please provide feedback.
Regards
Chuck

Hey Chuck,
Ditched my D3 TDV6 SE for PUMA110 about 3 years ago. Best thing I ever did.
I have had all of the Disco's (D1,2,3) and I think they are a great vehicle and very capable, BUT....The Defender is a special truck, it will put a smile on your face every time you drive it.
There is something about the Defenders that make them the Land Rover that everybody wants, but only a few will every own.
If you buy one you won’t be disappointed, sure there will lots of Disco drivers telling you how much better a disco is, but don’t be put off.
and you get will lots more waves...

Hi Chuck
I sold my 06 TDV6 last May and bought a 90 limited edition great vehicle
but we do miss the Disco for comfort on long trips and towing, even though the 90
tows great. Love it still smile every time I get in it, that's every day.

i could be wrong but i am not sure seat extension will work on a 90, isn't there a bulk head right behind the seats??
other than that go for it..............hang on i have never owned a D3 but dream about a D4

Bulkhead was replaced by a support bar from the td5 models on.
Although I don't have them, I think there would be enough room for the mud rails or similar.

Hi chuck,
And to all as this is my first post and happy to use it to pass on an excellent experience.
I have a 2011 90LE and absolutely love it. It is my business vehicle and I look forward to waking up and driving it where ever work takes me for the day.
I am 6' 2" so did have some trepidation about the leg room. However a set of Mulgo Seat Rails fixed that issue perfectly. In fact I don't even run the seat fully back, that's how much room they give you. I installed a set on the passenger side as well and my partner can't even reach the fire wall with her legs fully extended.
I fully concur with Drover's comments, you won't stop smiling. Don't hesitate, get out there and get yourself into the best 4WD on the planet.
