Its hard enough getting into the existing two rear seats.
Dont know how you would get in with a bench seat?
My lovely wife informs me some time ago that, "I don't mind the 90, looks good, I could see myself in one of those as a daily driver."
So while our friends at landrover are knocking 10k off them I thought I would entertain the idea.
Problem, I would need it to be a 5 seater. Bench seat facing forward in the back. Has anyone done or had it done and certified? Pics and contacts would be appreciated.
This is my one and only chance to become a 2 Defender household.
Cheers, Tod.

Would appear to be a case of emotion overriding common sense here mate..
Will be too small, to awkward to get into and will wear thin very, very quickly...
As much as you'd like it, its not for your current circumstances...
Teres very little space left between the rear seats in the 90, so a 3 seat bench seat would be for very small people.
You could fit 2x Bench seats North to South, but you will need a Conversion cert for this, you may well find that the 90 could have already been tested and certified in this configuration.

Oh, come on Mike. Did I really need bringing back to reality that quick? Having never sat in the back of a 90 and it's intention as the family runabout. Yours and slugsworth reality check are most appreciated.
And I thought this forum was all about turning dreams into reality.
Sounds like what you need is the 100" model (prototype...)
Shame it never saw production...
Just an idea how about a bobtailed Range rover classic or a bobtailed 110 so you get the short overhangs but 4 doors? The RRC would be easier for around town with an engineered lift, bobtail and better air con than our defenders say a 90-94 model, 35 in tyres , new engine/gearbox/trans case etc
