    trailer dash light ?

    got an issue with my 2002 deff{minor} the trailer indicator light is on when indicating with no trailer attached, anyone have any thoughts as to where to start looking ...head or bum? the car did have a brake controler wired in posibly that?
    any thoughts apreciated {ps trailer lights all work}

    If you have indicators on your bull bar, the extra load makes the electrical system think a trailer is attached.

    Replacing one regular globe with an LED globe is one of several fixes.

    My 96 disco does the same and it has electric trailer brake unit, I ignore it as it has given any probs

    yea blinkers in bar but its a factory fitted aka extreme but its possible the bulbs draw more than the stock ones.....ill check that. {on a side the b bar lenses are so crappy and crazed that its likley someone stuck a brighter globe in }

    yea ive been ignoring it to {not hard to do} just thinking that maybe ill fix it..

    my 2010 110 crewcab pickup has done it since new, thought it was normal
    unless it has something to do with the trailer plug

    Check/clean (if necessary) the socket for the trailer plug. Might be some current drawing goo there. Had a similar problem once, that solved spontaneously, reckoned it was a shortie somewhere, most likely in the socket.

    Thanks Larry, my 2003 130 does it as well, yes fitted with a bullbar with blinkers, thanks for that will try an LED globe!

    could be plug relkated as well{its got a toyota plug on it !!!!} <---probably an an alergic reaction..
    the said plug looks new and ill clean it out and check wiring when i try the bull bar globe idea ...could pull the plug of the rangie cause they work fine on it

    I should have said replace one globe on the left & one on the right indicator, but you knew that.
