Last time met a Landy waved and got waved back,on Hight St Rd, but that was in last December....All defenders in Melbourne seemed to be kept in museums by their owners...0.0....Once got a wave from Disco 2 and waved back, had an motivation day^ ^. Except that, other newer disco3/4 together with Rangies families are all hopeless in S.E. Melbourne...
Saw an ex-army Defender or Perentie going up Dennis Road, Springwood here in Brisbane this morning. I've seen it regularly but wasn't in a Defender myself before now, so first wave exchanged today.
Land Rover Australia released a bulletin in conjunction with production ceasing on Defenders saying that no more Defenders therefore no more waving.
Makes sense, as Disco folk don't wave and Range Rover folk don't think it's s Land Rover![]()
By all means get a Defender. If you get a good one, you'll be happy. If you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Clancy MY15 110 Defender
Clancy's gone to Queensland Rovering, and we don't know where he are
just drove home through Mawson lakes (Adelaide) in my Perentie and got a wave from a white Defender - looked like a 130 waiting to come out a side road.
For some reason I do get more waves now I have a black 110 than I do in my Perentie. Must be the camo working too well and they don't see me.....

I got a wave from a Rangie classic driver yesterday! The only one in forever from a Rangie. New Rangie and D4 drivers mostly appear to be in their own humidicrib world to wave IME. Not surprising really, it is the Series/Defender wave after all.
We had our waves returned by a TD5 as we overtook him on the Iron Cove Bridge yesterday.
Cheers, Billy.
Keeping it simple is complicated.
